OWAC V Daemons of Tzeentch - March 2022 rank and file #2 (0 pts)

 ...Playing with fire...

So after burning my wild card in the fire of February, I though I would easily build momentum from the ashes as I was aiming for March. But I am learning, as a painter, that procrastination is my worst ennemy! Indulging myself good painting time is much harder than expected and I always end up spending my "me time" playing with the kids... Never the less, here I stand, hoping that the Overlord will bless me of his forgiveness for my late editing!

So here they are, the blue horrors of my "Grabbelings".

I started my painting process the same way I painted my pink horrors... But ended up adding another layer of Druchi Violet before working the actual blue base layer.

And finaly, I did not realise when preparing the minis... but I had an unwelcome intruder! I realised that within the last lot I but for this project, a recast made its way. Can you guess who the imposter is? Bad alloy that shrank to much and a lot of lost details...

OWAC V Daemons of Tzeentch - January 2022 rank and file #1 (1260 pts)

 50 Shades of pink...

It has been a hell of a month but here they are, the Grabelings

In 3rd edition they are meant to be 9 per 1260pts... which seems a bit odd from where I stand because it makes no sence for rank and file units. Unless if they were meant to be accompanied by a seperate hero.

Anyway here are 10 of them, with all their gloriously cartoonish faces. Those faces are absolutly wonderful to paint. There is just so much surface to work with. I will for sure paint another one on those, with more time on my hand, and bring it to another level.

Going throught the first part of this challenge has been hard. Real life came down on me pretty hard, and I did almost quit before even starting... But frankly, giving myself some freetime for my hobby, which I have rarely been doing over the past few years, has been a major relief. My wife, half supportive and half mocking, have been helping by taking on the kids at key moments. This first unit is certainly not the top of what I can acheive, but it is already better than the two I painted over the course of 2021!  OWAC V, I'm ready for more!
